The CoA has confirmed that there won’t be any change in the timing of IPL twelfth edition matches, on Thursday. Recently, the Committee of Administrators quelled the rumors that were doing the rounds. CoA announced that afternoon matches will take place at 4 PM while evening matches will start form 8 PM.
Indian Premier League 2019 will begin from March 23. Besides, the fans of tournament are anxiously waiting for the mega event to kick off. The international players are likewise eager to take field in the tournament. Earlier, Board of Control of Cricket in India has announced the schedule for the first 17 matches.
The governing body will release the rest of the fixtures after the General Election dates get confirmed. Moreover, the elections in India are likely to take place in April which made things tricky for BCCI. Meanwhile, there were rumors spreading that the board might change the timing of matches.
However Rai clarified the matches timing after Committee of Administrators meeting. A team official quoted:
“We welcome BCCI’s decision to retain the match timings. Like last year, we wanted the games to have an 8 pm start. This time, we were not yet approached by the BCCI regarding match timings but we were eagerly awaiting its decision”.
